VIDEOS I WISH I HAD
- The Back Row (1972) director: Doug Richards (aka Jerry Douglas)
George Payne's first film, he follows Casey Donovan into a porn theatre, but can't quite decide what, if anything, he wants to do; Donovan, on the other hand, does quite well for himself in this film directed by Doug Richards (aka Jerry Douglas). Also stars Chris Villette, Robert Tristan, Warren Carlton, Robin Anderson, Arthur Graham, and David Knox. Not to mention a very Midnight Cowboy -sounding theme song.
- Bad, Bad Boys (1979) director: Lancer Brooks (aka Tom DeSimone)
Johnny Dawes's (as B.J.!) film debut, in a "sadistic" (they "force" each other to have sex) street gang, the Red Devils. B.J. is new to the gang, and must be initiated. Killer disco-theme song! Starring Guy De Silva, Rufus, Guy Lance, Derrick Stanton, Steve Event, Lenny Koto, Bill Leonard, and Dick Miller.
- Bob & Daryl & Ted & Alex (1972) director Stan Preston
Starred Danny DiCioccio (who was also in the 2nd scene in Boys In The Sand), Anton Lewis, Don Sean, and Ernie Likens; produced by Lou Forte; distributed by Hand In Hand Films. Don't think this one ever made it to videotape.
- Cruisin' The Castro (1981)ACQUIRED!!
Tony Natali, Will Seager, Richard Locke, Rick Zane, Johnny Harden, Mark Majors, Dick Fisk, Don Talon
- Erotic Hands (1974)ACQUIRED!!
I think P.M. Productions put this film on tape, adding 2 or 3 other short films, sometimes in the early/mid 80's.
Forbidden Portraits (1982) ACQUIRED!! director: Enrico Montenegro
Roy Garrett and real-life lover Bob Shane have sex while an artist (Darren Duke) watches, himself dreaming of his own ideal. Also stars John Bolton, John Fell, Bosch Wagner, and Jesse Jones.
- Fast Friends (1987?) director: Fred Halsted
Fred Halsted, playing "DAD", makes his son jack off after catching him with some dirty magazines. Also stars Clay Russell and another muscleguy in a 3-way. Unfortunately, MIDNIGHT MEN seem to be the only folks selling this movie, and chances are they've chopped out the dad/son scene. Also stars Al Ford, David Spectrum, Dean, Gregory and Jesse Jones.
- Games (1983) director: Steve Scott
Al Parker plays a writer covering the Gay Games (or was it still called the Gay Olympics back then?). A highlight is a fantasy scene he imagines after being introduced to Italian athlete Giorgio Canali; both hung, uncut men slurp all over each other with a completely black backdrop. Also stars Leo Ford, Johnny Dawes.
- The Harder They Fall (1979) director: Tom DeSimone
The lives of two lovers (Bob Blount and Dan Gentry) are disrupted when one of their ex's (Eric Clements) appears on the scene. Guy DeSilva, Bob Porter, Eric Clements, Bob Damon, Dan Gentry, Bob Blount, Dan Pace (aka Rocky Genero). (aka The Trouble Shooters; aka The Frechnman and the Lovers) Music: Jason Sato, Photographer: Nick Elliot.
Inches (1979) ACQUIRED!! director: Steve Scott
Al Parker wrongly accuses his lover of cheating, and the lover (Steve Taylor) walks out on him. Lonely, Parker succombs to the advances of a co-worker, Bob Blount. WOW! Three hot bearded men in one film - Parker, Taylor, and Blount. Also stars: Joe Roberts, Buck Stevens, Carl Royce, David Saxon, Max O'Binsky, and non-sex role by Steve Scott.
- Jack (1974?) ACQUIRED!!directed by John Stephens
Unable to make it with his supposedly straight neighbor, Jack (Dano Martin) turns to the delights of Manhattan, exploring Central Park's Ramble and the famed Continental Baths. Phil D'Angelo, Robert Lamb, Les Link
- Jack Wrangler
A satirical pseudo-documentary about, and starring, one of my faves, Mr. Wrangler himself!
J Brian's Flashbacks (1981) ACQUIRED!!
Several stars I dig, a rare 2-hour length, and a jockstrap contest - how can you go wrong? The director, J. Brian, before producing and directing gay porn movies, was the publisher of Golden Boys, a great male nude mag from the late 60's/early 70's. While I don't know which ones, several of the actors in this film were his discoveries. Stars: Rick Adams, Ron Pearson, Jeff Porter, Mickey Squires, Leo Ford, Jamie Wingo, Jim Mallett, Miles Motchell, Will Seagers, Frank Sears, Doug Boggs, Ray Peters, Art Williams, Gary Coon, Randy Johnson
- Men Come First (1979) director: Francis Ellie
A door-to-door salesman (played by Brian Granger) selling "marital aids" is featured in this late 70's film that used a good dose of humor. The scene where he demonstrates their main product, Forever Hard, is soooo funny! He actually stands on the guys cock after applying the balm, to show how rigid your cock becomes. All I know is that it was produced by P.M. Productions. There's another scene where one of two lovers just can't seem to cum, and the salesman has them make love in front of him so he can analyze the problem. As they are fucking away, he takes out a bottle-rocket like aparatus, sticks it up the guy's ass, and of course, they cum like mad! George Payne is apparently in a "cameo", although I can't remember the scene. Roy Garrett's first film.
Men of the Midway (1983) ACQUIRED!! director: Roger Earl
Chris Burns runs away from home after his father (Paul Baressi) tries to sell him for sex. Chris joins a carnival, where Tim Kramer pretty much does what Baressi had in mind (the difference is Dad was gonna sell Chris to nasty old white men, and Kramer sells Chris to hunky young black men!). with: Jack Strider, Beau Matthews, Donkey Dan, Jeff Powers, Bruce McDonald
- Moving! (1974) director: Wakefield Poole
Casey Donovan and Val Martin, (House For Sale), in a simple-themed film about men looking for a place to live (renting a room, getting a roommate, etc). Includes Burt Edouards, Kurt Gerard,(Rooms For Rent), Peter Fisk and Tom Wright (Apartment For Rent). Much of this film cane be seen in the 1989 E-Z Rider video release called Tease Me - but the Peter Fisk scene (FF) is the highlight, and not apparently available on video.
- The Night Before (1973) director: Arch Brown
Trippy early film, with a great orgy scene, wonderful black and white sequence. Saw it at a film festival a couple years back. Produced by Jack Deveau, for Hand in Hand Films. Original score by David Ernest. With Frank Ross, Coke Hennesy, Michael Kade, Janal Jones, Nick Kastroff, Alexis Knight, Bob Plummer, Bill Yort, Jeffrey Etting, Tom Clarke, Mimmi Garth
- School Daze
Fox Studio's first film with a plot! Shot on 16mm film, transferred to video in the early 80's with Patrick Cowley's musical score (remember Menergy?) added. Actually 3 "shorts" - School Daze - College jock Tom LeDuc seduces fellow student Rob Schoot; at home, they are spied on, then joined by Tom's roommate Scott Pryor - many credit this scene as one of the best from this era! (approx time 50 min); All American Muscle - solo piece starring x-cop and competition body builder Dave Henderson ; scene 3 - untitled, and the 2 muscle guys are uncredited - one mustached muscle guy spots another through his window, and comes in and joins him. Actually, I was able to obtain a copy of it, and the 50-minute 3-way scene is fantastic! Alas, I needed to sell it on eBay, but still hope to get an original again someday.
- Seven In A Barn (1971) J. Brian
7 Young men in a game of strip poker; based on the late 6o's porn book of the same title (Black Knight series) Starring: Starring: Dean Chasson, Jerome Sanderson, Todd Taylor, Marty Storm, Jimi Gorga, Val Anderson, Christopher Gregory. I sold this one in 2002 - shouldn't have!
- Sex Machine
I think this is the one where Roger is in these grey sweatpants, and he's on this like lazy-susan aparatus that keeps him moving around so you see front, side, and back views as he slowly undresses, massages himself, and whacks his huge fat meat....
- Sighs directed by Ron Pearson
Pearson is also featured in the film, with lots of mid- 80's stars: Eric Stryker, Pierce Daniels, Eric Ryan, Scott O'Hara, Cole Taylor. Made on video, but i'd still like to get it.
- Spokes (FalconPac 033) Director: Bill Clayton (aka Matt Sterling)
Falcon's first "one-story" feature - bicyclists stop in a barn for an orgy - works for me! Under an hour, you won't notice as all these guys are hot and very, very hung. Starring: Leo Ford, Dick Fisk, Lee Ryder, Ron Greer (aka Rod Phillips), Mark Hunter, Pete Gable
- Station To Station (1974)director: Lancer Brooks (aka Tom DeSimone)
After being arrested for soliciting a plainclothes cop for sex, a young man's parents try to turn him staight. Needless to say, it doesn't work. Starring
Carl Ford, Tom Payne, Steve Fox, Ron Fischer. Tim Christy, Linda Hartley and Liz Wolfe
- Strange Places, Strange Things Director: Al Parker
Can't remember much about it, but Al's a great director - a scene on some scaffolding 30 stories high, plus a scene in a sewer!
- Strickly Forbidden (1974) director: Jack Deveau
A young man stows away in a Parisian art museum, and the statues come to life! Rumored to have been filmed secretly at one of the Paris Museums.
Starring Keith Anthoni, this takes place in the NYC subway system, mostly in some abandoned underground passes, and men's bathrooms. with Daniel Holt, Jeff Stone, Tharon Davis, and Ashley Dubois. I've seen it re-released by Cream of the Crop, or another goofy video retailer like "all male beavers" but I want a PM Production copy, box and all!
- Take One (1977) director: Wakefield Poole
The idea with this one was to film men living their fantasies - one scene shows 2 brothers fucking for the first time; another is Richard Locke and his lover having sex on top of Locke's desert home roof, as the sun is setting. (note: fantatic film - I saw it in summer of 2002 at a Poole festival - he hopes to get funding to restore it!)
2 X 10 (1980) ACQUIRED!! director: Steve Scott
An all-star cast has sex on a construction site. Lee Ryder, Jeremy Scott, Jeff Bentley, J.D. Slater, and others appear in six segments. Titles include "Nailed," "Studs," "Lunch Meat," and "Driviní.
- Wanted director: Steve Scott
One of two films with Al Parker and Jack Wrangler. Wrangler plays an evil prison guard, forcing men into having sex with him. Parker escapes with straight fellow prisoner Will Seagers, who can't bare the thought of having gay sex. They are chained together for most of the escape a la The Defiant Ones. Not sure if what I do have is a "complete" copy of this film; what I have seems to be missing a fuller finale, (although it is Scott's standard 60 minutes for a film) where Al Parker shows Will Seagers how good gay sex can be!
- just about anything from P.M. Productions (except maybe the mid 80's ventures into direct-on-video movies...)
- and of course anything from Hand-in-Hand Films - with directors like Arch Brown, Peter de Rome, and Jack Deveau, you can't go wrong
