Wonder how his co-star, Kurt Gerard, really spelled his name!

Has it ever been confirmed that Bert Edwards did in fact commit suicide? I love all of his work. Such passion and vigor!
Edwards did in fact commit suicide in the early 80s, tho’ I don’t know how. I do know it’s because he’d contracted AIDS. I’m an undying fan of the boy. In fact, he’s my all-time favorite pornstar. Love EVERYTHING about him! (Actually, originally his surname was Edouards, not Edwards. He was French Canadian & a Virgo.)

Yes, Bert Edwards fans are kind of a small group it seems. I’m still skeptical about his suicide, though. While researching the lives of adult film personalities for a book I’m writing on the subject, I have discovered several people said to be dead are in fact alive. I’d need to see a death certificate or official published obituary to believe the suicide story, or at least be able to research it myself using his real name. Do you remember where you heard this?
Sorry to be so late replying. I discovered the info about BE’s suicide at several different websites some years ago. I regret to say that I don’t remember the urls. I remember seeing pix of him taken by Kensington Road b/w 1980-82 (I’d say), around the time he vanished from the porn scene; he didn’t look so good. He had a rather ashen, washed-up look. Not that that means he committed suicide, of course, but those photos seem to reveal his AIDS infection. They’re hard to look at. I’ve never heard an alternative explanation of what happened to him. It’s surprising to me that god doesn’t have a greater following. He was sooooo fucking hot . . .
