Director: Roger Earl (1975) 78 minutes running time
Starring: Val Martin – Quave Dalton – Steve Richards – John Detour – Eric Lansing – Tiger John – David Andrews
I’ve seen the release date vary – 1972, 1975, 1977 – – even GEVI’s Born to Raise Hell page says 1972 – which I think is too early, especially if you see all the ads for it GEVI mentions are in 1975 and 1976 (including most of the reviews). Shit, even I have it wrong in a few places on the blog! I do know it was around the same time as Wakefield Poole‘s Moving! (1974) – – anyway – mid 70’s!
One reply on “(Psycho Films Presents:) Born to Raise Hell”
On the gevi page for Born To Raise Hell:
https://gayeroticvideoindex.com/video/17869
.. it says: “Fred Halsted says that the police (in LA?) said there would be no more S&M films allowed to screen after Sextool. Born to Raise Hell was the next to open and the police closed it down on its first day.”
It actually seems to indicate you are the source for that tidbit, though I think that may have been taken from somewhere else. Anyway Sextool opened in 75 which has been cited elsewhere, taht year was when it first played in SF for one thing. So I’d say that the 72 year on gevi is wrong, and more than likely 75 (since, as you also noticed, that was when Drummer, Mandate and other publications first mentioned it).
