I remember that Nick Rodgers, J.W. King, and others, did a few live nighttime dance performances around this time period, at the Century Theater in Hollywood. That’s where they filmed the roller skating sex scene from “The Boys of Venice”. The theater later burned down. I really wanted to go, but I was young and too scared. I think you had to join a private club in order to see it. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a live sex show. I don’t know off hand if he did the same dance routine as this clip shows. I also remember seeing both Rodgers and Melchor at one time, coming in together at the same theater during the day. (Movies were okay, but live shows were another matter.) VHS tapes of “Grease Monkeys” were being sold in the lobby and he was talking to mgmt. about them. I was surprised that both of them were shorter than me. Less than 6 feet. What a time it was!
Haha, that was fantastic. Gene Simmons has mentioned this film a few times, so it’s great to finally be able to see it. Thanks!
