one of the best films ever is getting a big screen return to the BIG SCREEN!
DARK ENTRIES presents: TURNED ON
Thursday, September 12, 2024
The 4 Star Theater
2200 Clement Street, San Francisco, CA 94121
One of my all-time favorite films, “Turned On”, seriously, if you are in San Francisco you MUST GO to this screening – haven’t seen it myself on a big screen in decades – decades I tell you! Cast: Al Parker, Sky Dawson, Beau Matthews, Jim King (AKA J.W. King), Gian Carlos, Joel Thomas, Greg Dale, Jim Rodgers, Bob Moore, John Trent, Lee Brubaker, Rick Faulkner; special appearance by Scott Taylor; cameos by Mike Davis and Steve Taylor; and how many men were in the film (like the jockstrap scene, for example) who were never credited? Not to mention the amazing soundtrack – Forbidden Overture – Turned On – which has been released by DARK ENTRIES a year or two ago? Imagine seeing this, the music, the men, the…. oh gosh, they probably don’t allow the shenanigans, or do they?

Would love to be there for this!
Awww damn, I’m on the east coast. I’ve never even been to SF. *sad face*
Steve Scott was an Al Parker director for his Surge Studios until they had a falling out & Al Parker took over the directing duties. Steve Taylor, Al Parker’s husband, was usually the producer of all the Surge Studios films & usually makes a cameo in all the films.
Most of the male models were Al Parker & Steve Taylor’s friends in Turned On. No telling how many models went uncredited such as the locker room & jock strap scenes.
Mike Davis, who also appears in many Al Parker films, was a carpenter & he usually built their sets or his employees built the sets.
I remember seeing this on a big screen at the New Century Theater in SF back in the 80’s.
