I bought and unfortunately lost, the 3/22/’79 #263 issue of the Advocate newspaper. It had the sexiest still picture of Richard Locke ever. It was from his movie, “Take One” which showed him with his lover, (what was his name?) on the roof top of their desert home. Both of their sweaty bodies are glistening in the sun, and Locke’s lover is sucking on his beard. I hoped in vain that you had this picture and would post it. I never saw this unavailable flick but you did! Oh well, #4 above with Clay Russell in the dirt, is almost as hot. I saw it before in b & w in Skinflicks. The first two pictures in the second row are also hot. His friend is Stutz, and it’s from Colt Studio. #2 and 3 with Will Seagers, are also worth mentioning. This is mansex at its best. He really was a legend. Director Joe Gage compared him to Kris Kristopherson, which I thought was apt. His deep voice resonates throughout all of Gage’s films.
ahhhh, would be worth hunting down – I heard from Wakefield Poole that he’s been working with TLA video again to do a second set of his films, including the never on video TAKE ONE! I saw it once, at a review of his work at Anthology Film Archives here in nyc just as he had decided to donate his films to them – the scene with his partner was great!
