Bill (falcon-bl)??

Briefly – the comments section in my Full Service post the other day had a question (OK, zephyr had a question) about one of the minor stars, “Bill”, – simply – is that the same guy who briefly appeared in Can’t Stop The Music?

GEVI credits “Bill” with two films, Full Service, pt 2 and If You Want It, Work for It and points out that Bill had that small part in Can’t Stop The Music – is he right? Or, as I am looking at both films, “Bill” in If You Want It, Work for It looks more like the Can’t Stop guy than the Full Service Bill – so two questions arise now – did the Can’t Stop muscle guy do porn for Falcon, and if so, was it one or both of these – or even more!???

Gay Erotic Video Index says they are the same guy; Can’t Stop the Music bombed at the box office so it did not hurt his gay porn career. They look almost like twins so I would say they are the same guy.

I’ve never been the greatest at this game, certainly inferior to some of you here. I see similarities between the two Bills, but also differences — nose as Johnny pointed out in the other post, plus his eyebrows and even how his hair sets on his head. Keeping in mind that haircuts can make a person look very different, and bright lighting can show off features that are sort of hidden when it’s darker.

The Bill from Ticket Home doesn’t look as buff as this Bill does, so maybe they were different Bills all along? And somewhere along the line they just got lumped together due to Falcon giving them the same first name. These kinds of trivia challenges are one of the things I enjoy the most about your blog BJ, you never hesitate to focus in on the minutia which is great.

The Derek who sent Woody the note he added to Bill’s gevi page is a name I’ve seen on other vintage listings too, along with you and a Jerome who must have been feeding him edits and corrections for some time now.

I don’t think these two Bills are related, but I admit the Bill from “If You Want It, Work For It” has a muscular build that is very similar to the guy in “Don’t Stop the Music.” The similarities are strong, but I imagine we’ll never know the truth. Still, it’s a fun mystery!

You gotta’ love “Don’t Stop the Music” for it’s pure camp & silly fun. I love the Village People. I mean, it’s more the idea of them and their place in gay history and culture than their music, but I can’t help loving them and their costumes. And they are are still performing! It’s a rotating cast of new male performers of course. Great campy fun.

Thanks to Zephyr for the porn investigation and for reminding us about this piece of gay history.
