Like Cadinot, Higgins did incorporate older guys into his early films though they were rarely the primary focus. The scene with Doug Weston and Sergio Canali is a good one, Doug rips Sergio’s pants and underwear off before fucking him. And the lead-in comes via a postcard Doug gets from Cory in Hawaii, which leads into the Cory / Bobby scene filmed outside which is beautiful I thought. I’d love to see a mastercut of all the Higgins Hawaii scenes back to back, I envisioned what that might look like in the post below:

As for the close-up shots Higgins used those became quite popular and influential on other filmmakers too. Directors were zooming in on dicks even before he came along but there was something about the way he did so, sometimes at odd angles that I just found made them unique to an extent. I read recently how one of his goals was to not only show the body parts in close up, but when the guys came he wanted a camera shot that showed the dicks exploding and their ‘O’ faces at the same time.
And that Costello Presley song from the preview is an excellent one, he was creating almost completely original scores for Higgins’ movies through the first half of the 80s. Still waiting for that long-desired collection of remastered tunes but this was another pretty good song from the movie:

The Costello Presley music for These Bases Are Loaded, Class Reunion, etc al are so good. I would buy a remastered album with the William Higgins films.

Some of the songs from These Bases are on that soundcloud channel: Make Love To Me (8m), Keep On Doin’ It (30m), Sunday Drive (37m), Sex Rap (55m, so cheesy it’s awesome), Don’t Stop (68m) and Right Where I Want You (77m) plus maybe even one or two more. The parentheses indicate about how many minutes into the film they start playing.
I corresponded with a guy who had a youtube channel when I did (long story, both are deleted now) and he sent me versions of eight of Costello’s songs that sound so much better than what I snagged from tube copies of films. A lot of those songs are also heard in non-Higgins films like Good Times Coming and Shore Leave.
I just noticed YOUR box cover art has BOBBY MADISON featured – like that better!

the editing is confusing- the way the orgy plays out/etc…. seems sort of just thrown in, like the Bobby/Corey scene- the rest has a theme, this French guy looking for action/help/money.

The French Lieutenant Boys orgy is odd beginning with the 3 guys in the bathroom then ending on the bed with all the men & there’s a different focus for each scene. I think Higgins was experimenting for this film.
Higgins original These Bases Are Loaded nine man orgy is really great (clocking in 40 minutes). But the best William Higgins orgy is from Prague Buddies 3 featuring an extended 45 minute orgy with almost the whole cast. The focus changes with each scene: One is in the attic, the other is downstairs & it shifts with all the men fucking each other in the last scene. It’s highly choreographed & planned out with the natural sunlight providing atmosphere then it shifts at night. This orgy had to take a week to film.
