1985 calendar

Oh wow, this is great! He’s quite the beefy stud. I think I see a chin dimple too.

I was gonna’ say I’ve never seen this guy, but I have a set of the 1985 Fox calendar so I guess I have. I definitely didn’t have his name though. I’ve never heard of Mickey Sharp and there’s nothing on GEVI, so I guess he’s a print-only model. Over at Smutjunkies GEA-

-they say he was also featured in the Fox magazine: Foxhunt #5 published in 1987. They have an incomplete listing for the 1985 Fox calendar though. It’s a great resource, but it’s very hit or miss.

There were over 100 Fox photo sets featuring their hottest men and I guess they’re all just gone. What a shame.

Thanks so much for putting a name to the face BJ!

Smutjunkies is a better resource for relatively current models, but it gets sketchy with 1970’s & 1980’s models. The best resource for 1960-1990’s models is the Gay Erotica Video Index. Although not 100% accurate, It is accurate enough for 95% of the time. Print models are also listed at the Gay Erotica Video Index.

hmmmm. I have yet to see any print models listed – unless you mean performers who ALSO appear in print; but print only, please point where, that would be super helpful!

The print models are the video models for the Gay Erotica Video Index; they are listed below the videos (if they have any).

Retro Studs is another good resource, but sometimes the models are not named. It depends what magazines they have scanned.

Building on David’s contribution- If you are on Smutjunkies, there is “print” field where you can search by a key word such as Micky Sharp and it will find anything that matches in any of the mags in their limited database. It will find both porn performers and print models- it’s just called print because when you use the print field the only results which come up are in print magazines and books.

I don’t remember any specific section on GEA that was just for print models, but there are lots and lots of print models to be found in the listings.

I agree with David that Smutjunkies / GEA is a great resource. I just wish they had continued to build on the vintage listings. Maybe filled in some of the gaps. Checked for mistakes.

They have whole series of the most popular monthly mags in the Smutjunkies print database, such as Honcho, Advocate Men, and Torso. But then others just aren’t in there, like Bunkhouse & Drummer. You have to go into the archives to find those.

It’s still an amazing resource. I’m very grateful it!
