Trying to get some wiggle room on the hard drive, so continuously looking for duplicate files, bad quality files (like these former Windows Media video files), and stuff that is uploaded to my site, and I no longer need a duplicate copy on this machine. Understandable why you’d be parting with these clips to free up space, the picture quality isn’t that great by current standards. It wasn’t too long ago that it was either short clips like these or nothing, and I know they took a lot of time to upload as well.
Of all the Costello P. songs, Bad Boy (I assume that was the name of it) is probably one of the catchiest. The only actual film I heard it in was Cousins, but that’s what plays on the Sailor preview so I’m guessing he just lifted it from there. In Cousins Bad Boy is what plays during the 3-way with Cory Adams as the rich brat who gets pissed off when Lance Whitman and Tony Kidd wake him up cleaning his dad’s house. The other stand-out song from Cousins was just before that, Matt Ramsey and Scott Roberts in the pool to the song with lyrics about ‘let me see your body move’, though in fact all the music in Cousins is quite good. Costello made original and complete film scores for some of those earlier 80s films, before he started recycling some of the tunes later, that’s always been part of why they stood out to me. Well that, plus how the Laguna Pacific videotapes in the 80s said ‘stereo sound’ on the box covers, so if you had your TV hooked up to a decent stereo they sounded outstanding, much better than a lot of the other films, as well as in the porn theatres.
I wouldn’t have known what “Bad Boy” sounds like, but thanks to the google – Bad Boy – within seconds I am transported to that porno theater of my youth in Chicago…. or was it NYC? whichever!
Yep, I have two from Cousins on there, that one and Let Me See Your Body Move. For some reason the latter is the one with the most plays of all those songs, the only one to have hit 1k. Like I said, they’re both catchy, as is another one from Cousins I’m thinking of adding soon. I’m almost up to my maximum allowed space on that channel, so I have to be sparing with what else I add, or delete a few of them maybe. Otherwise I guess I’d have to pay them to get more space and I doubt that’s happening.
Sounds like you must have caught Cousins on one of your porn cinema outings, if the music transported you back like it did. Did you get a whiff of poppers also? That actually happens to me every once in a while, it’s got to be just something my memory conjures up because I haven’t used or smelled them in years. But some old clip, whether they are using them or not, and it’s like someone just opened a bottle near me, weird.
