I wish this was better quality – awesome find, from a 1980 calendar – probably MANDATE HONCHO – I think the scanning was fine, but the printed image is a bit out of focus?

You can see a companion picture from the same photoshoot at http://retrostuds.blogspot.com/2017/02/richard-locke.html?zx=1454e557de2b4f1b. It was a Honcho centerfold (date unknown) by photographer Jarry Lang. [Note: I saw Richard do a stage show in a Times Square theater, about 1980. The third of the retrostuds photos him in a dress suit. In the stage show, he gradually stripped down from a suit like this. Also saw Keith Anthoni perform at the same theater. I like Keith but Richard gets the Tony.]
cool, thanks! I have more of the SUIT pics – superhot.
the centerfold you point out, gonna look for more in that series – who knows, maybe I have it on the harddrive!
when I put my mind to it…. and there are more pics of him with the helmut in the April 1979 issue
for example – – – over here – – “some balls”
Thanks Buddy! I love that one with him cuffed against the brick wall.
What a hunk of a man. And his little tattoo. Perfection.
It’s a tiny bit blurry, but who cares? What a mighty fine man!!
What an awesome series of photos. I have the Honcho April-1979 set with him wearing the helmet and his boots and nothing else. “Keys to Locke” it was called.
I’m curious about his April 1980 appearance in Mandate wearing a military uniform. I don’t have that one. Or maybe I do somewhere on the hard drive (I like to quote BJ). I have a lot of issues waiting for my perusal, particularly the monthlies.
The search continues!!
ahhhh, the APRIL 1980 MANDATE is awesome – 5th anniversary issue – and that Locke pic is a centerfold, and I am NOT good at scanning those..
so, if you scroll through my 9-10 pages of Locke posts, you’ll see the top and the bottom halves of that – if anyone wants to try to piece them together, I have larger versions I can email you..
oh, and there’s an AL PARKER and a yummy yummy MIKE MORRIS 2-pager photos as well in that issue. Thank god I still have that issue!
OK, now I really want that issue! But we can’t always have everything we want. I’m sure it’ll pop up somewhere one day.
