snowbound

sometime while scouring my hard drive, looking back at the comment from earlier in the day I thought – “WAIT! Why am I looking for the source of a pic from a post OVER TEN YEARS AGO???!!!??” I had, actually, found the model, and I thought the magazine, Playguy, Vol 5 No 4 (1980) and realized I still had that issue! Alas, it’s him, but not the snowy pics – I’m sure it’s him, but where is he all snowy?? After 15 hours without power, this is what I am using the computer for? But, using my search skills, once I found not the same pic, but this pic above that had to be the same photo shoot, I found the issue, something I sold in 2017, but had the html file with my notes – Snowbound (cover/center – Eric Perkins, photographer) – 3 2-page photographs! and then searching my files I found the scans, all 9 of them from my eBay auction, high resolution, but, alas, not the 2-pager that I was asked about… OK, I’ve led the horse to water… wait, is that the expression I am looking for? Exhausticated. must. sleep

I searched your blog for the word ‘snow’ because I had read an article about the big blizzard in your neck of the woods, and was hoping you were staying warm and dry, if possible. When I saw the two halves of that snowy top half / bottom half pic you had posted before I was just curious if you had the full pic anywhere, or if it had been separated onto adjoining pages by the magazine. I do appreciate you finding these shots but there was certainly no rush, especially after experiencing a power outage for that long (!) – now I feel as though I’ve wasted one of my three genie lamp wishes on something trivial like a ham and swiss on rye sandwich :/ when I could have put it to better use.

Nice photos of this guy (I’m a bit baffled why he would be wearing a sweatband on his head if it’s snowing though…) whoever the model was, I don’t recognize him from anything else. But at least now you know he was in at least one other mag, and the correct source for the snowy pics.

“WAIT! Why am I looking for the source of a pic from a post OVER TEN YEARS AGO???!!!??” And from a magazine from OVER FORTY YEARS AGO now??!! Because you’re a super sweet blogger and guy who tries to field requests and keep everybody here happy, while sending your trusty cub intern out in the elements with a shovel to dig you out. Stay safe and warm BJ :)

I will save my remaining wish for something truly important, oh wise genie. I tried again to take the two halves of snowy guy (not pictured here, the ones from your previous posts) and make him whole but I still couldn’t get his body aligned right, and there’s a chunk missing from his right arm. I assume it was a two-page photo in that issue of Mandate as was pretty common then.

If this model’s name was Matt (or Matthew) Forde as the hover-over says, the gevi note on his page says that was the name credited in L.A. Tool & Die to Will Seagers’s army buddy. In the Vietnam flashback scene, which is seen while he’s crying as the sun sets along the beach (and right after the Dan Pace sex scene). You don’t see that buddy’s face for more than a few seconds, most of it is very darkly lit but he didn’t really look like the model above, even if I picture a mustache on his face. Could be a match but gevi might be wrong about that connection to the film.

I love this photospread, even though it looks more like parmesan cheese than snow to me. I love the double pager where he is kneeling- he is so covered with the stuff, but his gorgeous dick is peeking out.

I don’t think I was as familiar with the Playguy pics. Perhaps because it is less memorable, but only because the fake snow is so unforgettable. The Playguy photos are preferable because you can actually see him and his sexy ‘stache.

I just looked up the Playguy set and it’s a larger set. Perhaps the hottest pic is not a nude, but one where Mr Forde is wearing a jockstrap with just the pubes showing. Hot blond!

Thanks once again for the memories!

I have been searching for more pictures and the name of this stud for so long. I’ve also been searching for the Mandate issue he was in, I’d love to have the actual magazine photos!

Came across these… still no name though/Users/rodneyvangroningen/Pictures/0Men/magazines, models, Studios/0 magazines/0 MANDATE/1981/MANDATE 1981.01/MANDATE 1981.01 “Snowboun” (photo by Eric Perkins) 002.jpg/Users/rodneyvangroningen/Pictures/0Men/magazines, models, Studios/0 magazines/0 MANDATE/1981/MANDATE 1981.01/MANDATE 1981.01 “Snowboun” (photo by Eric Perkins) 003.jpg/Users/rodneyvangroningen/Pictures/0Men/magazines, models, Studios/0 magazines/0 MANDATE/1981/MANDATE 1981.01/EbXs_rSX0AEjnox.jpg
