rockshots

I was hoping to do a fuller post on photographer Michael Rock, and gay greeting card company ROCKSHOTS – but click that link and it’s broken! Who can forget the “Toto, I don’t think we’re in Kansas anymore.” card??? I know he used Ron Raz a lot as a model (given the chance, who wouldn’t??!!), and if you click thru you’ll see Santa Ron. Michael Rock’s photos appeared in MANDATE (frequently in 1977, but other years as well), most notably the January 1980 issue (see pic below), including cover; also in at least the January 1983 Honcho, multiple issue of PLAYGUY…. Anyone else remember ROCKSHOTS?

oh wait – the Michael Rock / Rockshots article has been moved to the Archives – yeah!

Great link, very interesting. That website is the same one that has had a page about Will Seagers for quite a while, you and some other commenters here have talked about it before. I had noticed that the url had changed slightly and updated my bookmark recently:

Also as a holiday gift to you, not sure if you’ve seen this but it reminded me of you for some unknown reason … From Drummer issue 10, A Visit From Slave Nicholas:

Seasons greetings!

I was replying to Johnny about not usually being much interested in Holiday Gay Porn, and none of these is worth anything to me…EXCEPT the Top One. Oh man, that’s the way I feel about Christmas, and my very heart leapt as I scrolled down from the tiresome tinsel finally having found itself a worthy function. Admittedly, the Xmas is superseded and dismissed by that beautifully placed voluptuary style Ass. I’d take Ass over Xmas any day.

Yes, I like the top one as well. And I am not really an ass man.

See, this is what I don’t love about the Christmas porn. You put a hot man, like Ron Raz, in a Santa suit and beard and I can’t tell it’s him! I never would have guessed that was Ron Raz.

That said, I do love dirty greeting cards. So tacky, but I will always want a shirtless guy on my birthday card!
