“I hate you, I hate this house, I hate Christmas!”
Holiday tradition to re-run this post – Xmas 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2013, 2010, 2009, 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005, and gosh from 2003!! – but c’mon, it’s DIVINE, ferchrissakes! So, I hope you all enjoy this clip I snagged a couple zillion years back from kweer.com’s FEMALE TROUBLE pages. (which appears to be long gone – too bad!)

“Not on Christmas … not on Christmas …” [the mom after the tree falls on her] Camp classic for sure, every time you post this I am reminded that the season is upon us again, whether we’re ready for it or not.
I found a shell of his former page on the Wayback Machine, doubt the clips still work (I didn’t click through to check any of them) but it’s interesting to see what it looked like, and how prohibitively slow uploading and downloading was for all of us just a few years ago:

glad you liked it – and glad you found the original page – one of my earliest achievements in downloading a video so I could host myself, and not rely on a link that could (and did) become useless years later – but to still honor the original poster!
I grew up in Baltimore. Saw this (and all the others as a teen). My best girlfriend tried out for the Tracy Turnblad role in Hairspray. (She didn’t get it). Also, John Waters got around. You would see him everywhere. I was a bookseller and he came into every store I worked at, again and again. Met him on several occasions. I mean, as the guy who checked him out, but still it was a thrill.
I realize this post is more about Divine than John Waters. I never had the honor, but idolized him/her as a teen.
