Whoa, BJ baby! Atta-boy! You’ve done your homework! A gold star, plus a cookie for you!

I really didn’t have the time to respond, but Rick and his dick, is just too hard to resist!

What a gorgeous hunk of man-meat! Yet another, classic Colt guy! I’ll ask this ad infinitum; where the hell, does Jim French find these guys – truly, gods amongst men!

Rick Martino is like a Greek statue come to life – what a profile! Paean Studios definitely had the right idea, in including him in the magazine, “Sculptures of Macho Males #1” – so appropriate!

So many studs in the Colt stable have such a vivid, distinct look! You can’t mistake them, for anyone else!

“If the look is masculine, the name is Colt.” Indeed! (Fuck yeah!)

Yes, he has a hot body, dick, and ass! But as I always say, it has to start with the face! I love his high cheekbones, high, wide, square forehead, and phallic nose. But his green eyes are the killer – they burn!

I love hot guys, with a strong, steady, predatory gaze – so manly and sexual! Rick Martino really stares you down – he means business!

I don’t really like guys, with a dazed, spacey, myopic expression, in their eyes. No matter how handsome they may be.

That’s why I could never warm up to actors, like Matt Bomer, Parker Stevenson, Keir Dullea, Jeffrey Hunter, or Richard Hatch, despite them being, undeniably handsome. Their eyes don’t focus directly – space cadets!

And to top off Martino’s beauty, he has thick, wavy, curly hair! Wisely, he wears it like a man should – cut short, and brushed neatly back. Otherwise, it can look pretty girly – Shirley Temple!

Let me also thank you profusely, for listing and linking, to Rick’s other publications! I had no idea – so generous!

I love it that you and Buck Naked from Retro Studs, are in friendly competition, with each other. It’s obvious from this point, that both of you follow each other’s blog.

What’s wild is that I never knew about Martino’s print work with Janus Studios! It isn’t listed at Gay Erotic Archives.

When I first discovered him at Colt, what really struck me is his resemblance to T.V. actor, Kevin Dobson. I’m certain that Janus Studios must have had the very same idea!

This can’t be a coincidence!

“Kevin – Manly, sensual and loaded for action” – Indeed!

Okay, I hate to gush and rush, but as usual, I’ve said way too much, and took up too much space!

Thanks once again BJ honey!

Let me also join the chorus, in congratulating you on the 20th Anniversary, of your amazing blog!

It’s no wonder that you’re getting new followers, from around the globe! You’re now quite an influence!

XOXOXO

; )

Not quite my ideal of beauty, but super-hot anyway. He is cute when he smiles, but definitely looks better when not smiling–the teeth are not exactly quite an asset. The face is not one I’d think too much about if the rest of the body weren’t perfect, but the one in profile has his face at its best and it looks like a bust at the Met. The others are not that Roman-aristocratic in bearing, but I like hot peasants just fine. Has a fine Italian look–not beautiful like Canali–but certainly sexy. Thanks for posting him, I would have never known of him otherwise, as is the case for so many you post.

glad you approve! and of course, thanks for the congrats – and as usual, i have NO IDEA WHAT YOU GUYS ARE TALKING ABOUT when you dive in to hollywood actors – but the name Shirley Temple rings a bell

A classical beauty, and such intensity! Another excellent specimen of a man. I believe he also went by “Karim” and I don’t know where I saw that.

Apparently Jim French once said the following about Mr Martino: ”lots of Italian-American charm; very interested in his own future and laying plans to secure it; serious, but has a masculine laugh; polite, attentive; sleeps in night shirt”
Don’t ask me where I read that! It was just in my notes.

Thanks, BJ for another great post!

I respectfully disagree with Obsessed regarding Keir Dullea and Jeffrey Hunter. As they were some of my first crushes, I must remain faithful, but I agree that you want to see depth and power in a man’s eyes. Some actors/models don’t know how to connect with the camera. Mr Martino doesn’t disappoint.

Also, I enjoy reading all your comments. You too, Parisian. Thanks for sharing your perspectives! As a newcomer, I am slowly working my way backwards through the blog and it’s been great fun.

With gratitude,
Johnny

Thank you Johnny. I can’t remember Jeffrey Hunter so much–I think it was a short career in early-mid-60s, but I love Keir Dullea too, his performance in 2001: A Space Odyssey is sublime, as was the film. One of my old flames told me I looked like him, which I quite liked. Another told me I looked like Richard Thomas of The Waltons, which I found quite a bit less flattering and wasn’t that nice about it. But I’m glad I remembered it, because can you imagine naming a country-folk seried The Waltons after the net worth of the Wal-Mart Waltons is so well-known? Obviously, we didn’t know that much about them then.

BJ, I looked through my scans of Ramrod No4 and I can’t confirm his appearance there. If he’s there, he’s well hidden. Maybe Smutjunkies got that one wrong?

quite possible! but it does make me wonder if he got it completely wrong, like he’s in NO target publications at all, or Smutjunkies just listed the wrong one – notice that he appeared in all these HONCHO/MANDATEs via COLT, but wasn’t in a COLT magazine til 1990! But like you, I did scour my RAMROD4 images, and couldn’t detect him.

sidenote: having looked through what I have on RAMROD #4, it’s now on my ‘to-do” list to identify all the models – perhaps a “group project” here?

ewwww! sounds like str8 porn!

just teasing (sorta, not really) but good to know – would be fascinating to see how he looks in a moving picture!

Ha, yes that was him! It’s very odd seeing him in those and Joe D’Amato, who directed those, confirmed in an interview before his passing that he was, in fact, gay, though dabbled in heterosexuality at one point.

Hello !
Nice to see you.
I am also looking for CHRIS / a janus studio publication.
Could you please post some pictures of it? Thank you.
Do you have a full digital file of it?
