"vintage" porn stars music in gay porno

just for one day

Danny Connors fantasizes about Rick Donovan as his hero as a rock singer. Danny sucks Rick on a stage and then Rick fucks him on a white shag carpet, in the 1984 film, Heroes

Not sure if I’ve ever seen this, how’s the music? Gevi lists Garth Evans as providing the original music, I know in addition to the music he also sang a few “theme songs” in other films during this time: Getting It (“everyone’s getting it, together we’ll make our dreams come true”); Night Flight (“night flight awayyyyyyy”); Other Side Of Aspen 2 (“with the snow in wintertime it all can happen … in Aspen”) and if I’m not mistaken, he provided the music that Jeff Stryker sang in that cheesy music video scene in Bigger Than Life. Does Rick actually sing in Heroes, a la Jeff?

I could not find the film online, nor do I have it in my collection, but thanks to BIJOU VIDEO –

in my opinion, if I recall correctly, the best scene was between Cole Taylor (teacher) and Rydar Hanson (student)

Thanks for that clip! Definitely Garth Evans singing and not Rick, his voice is fairly distinctive in the ones I listed above. You’ve seen the Stryker clip right?

That’s Jeff really singing I think, but the music for that film was by Garth also and they just brought a fake band onstage to lip sync it. I love the woman with the blond hair who spends more time playing air guitar than she does supposedly playing the synths.

I see you added the “music in gay porn” tag, that seems appropriate for this film — or at least this scene. I’ve got a short list of music that has Garth either credited, or I suspect it was his music and/or vocals on at least one song: Below The Belt, Best Friends 2, Bigger Than Huge, Bigger Than Life, Getting It, Hard Money, Heroes, Night Flight, Other Side of Aspen 2 and Something Wild. I did musical slideshows for Aspen 2, Getting It and Night Flight on yt, even though i don’t think Garth is actually credited on Aspen 2 or Night Flight that sounds exactly like the voice from Getting It where he is credited (as well as the Heroes clip you found).

Patrick Cowley and Man Parrish are two of the musicians who also had mainstream success; Costello Presley had a huge number of films he scored; Garth is somewhat less known that all three of the others but he kept busy during the 80s making porn music himself.

I’d love to know who Garth Evans really was. All of his music sounded exactly the same for these films LOL but they’re so much fun. My favorite is probably “Something Wild”. For that matter, who was Costello Presley? His music was omnipresent through the 80s and into the 90s and it was very well-done soundtrack music.
