It’s better without the hole. While I feel, in general, one should not Photoshop elements of a photo, this is an exception. Until recently I would modify photographs so the lighting was more pleasing, or to remove what I considered imperfections in the shot or in the model. Now I consider that practice to be tantamount to defacing, rather than enhancing, as it changes the original artist’s intention in his work.
Removing an ‘after the fact’ imperfection, like holes, creases or stains, is acceptable, IMHO, as it is not changing the integrity of the original work, but rather, is an attempt to restore that integrity.
