Director: Ignatio Rutkowski (1972)
Starring: Peter Berlin (AKA Peter Burian), Rick Jedin, Tom Webb, Al Joffrey and Jeff Salem
This is Berlin’s first film – I actually think THAT BOY (1974), which he also produced, directed and wrote, is much better – but this is still a great little film showing bits of San Francisco gay life back in 1972. The party with a handful of drag queens is great, and the best, sexually speaking, is the final scene, where Berlin watches two lovers go at it, and joins in. (see below). I’d love to know the source of the music used in the preview above.

I’m a lot better at identifying disco music than rock and roll, I assume there were no clues in the film credits? My other thought is that if you know someone who has the shazam app on their phone, or something like that, maybe they could play the audio for the app and see if it matches with something in their database.
I hadn’t thought of that – EXCELLENT!

Nice, glad to assist you. Especially in your musical identification endeavors, I’ve mentioned how that interests me but don’t let me sidetrack you from your leather direction now. Speaking of this film, which I haven’t seen in its entirety, a few reviews mentioned the music of Debussy appearing in some of the scenes, were you aware that was the classical music being played?
Anybody else see the 2005 docu ‘That Man: Peter Berlin’? Wrangler talked some, otherwise I didn’t find it so memorable except for Andy Warhol telling him how ‘greeeeaaat!’ what he was doing was. I liked Joe D’Allessandro in his and Morrisey’s things a lot better. Oh yeah, there was some footage in his place, I think in S.F., sort of a shrine to himself.
yup. saw it. i too was not impressed – was funny just HOW full of himself he still was!
