J.D. Slater, whose first film was Joe Gage’s HANDsome; I believe Hard (1986) with Lee Ryder was his first foray into directing; not sure when he started doing soundtrack music, most likely late 1990’s(?) – or once he was directing in the mid 1980’s – anyone know?

The wikipedia article about him leaves a lot out, but at least he is considered notable enough to have one. If you could find a way to contact him directly maybe he could answer your questions himself? I’d bet that could be a fascinating conversation if he’s willing to talk about his porn years.
