Melchor & Halsted

I admire both “L.A. Plays Itself” and “Sextool” as interesting art films, with sex. But my favorite Fred Halsted films however, have got to be both “El Paso Wrecking Corp.” and “Pieces of Eight”. Halsted sizzles in both these films. He’s at his carnal peak!

Melchor (Diaz) seems especially young in “Pieces of Eight” aka “Raging Glory”. This film is one of my favorite daddy/boy, inter-generational scenes. There are no fancy angles or stylistics in the way it’s filmed. All the sensual action is recorded very simply and head on. It’s very sultry and tawdry; lots of sweat and natural sunlight. Even the strange song that underscores it doesn’t ruin the scene. (Lyrics: “You’re a whore!”)

This film shows that Halsted has an affectionate side to his macho bravado. He treats Melchor with such an aching tenderness. Notice the way he strokes and caresses Melchor’s head and body, as he’s being fellated. It’s almost as if he’s nursing Melchor through his dick:

Shocking and tender; I think this film is a sleazy classic!
