Thanks for the info, BJ. I liked this guy too, especially his body. He was naturally muscular and compact (no steroids), just like Jean-Claude Van Damme. This picture is great. He looks like he was sculpted by either Michelangelo or Rodin. Plus his face had an off-kilter handsomeness; great cheekbones. I wonder how popular he was in his native France. I wish he would have made more films. Maybe he would have been even bigger, if he had come to the States, like Giorgio Canali. He had everything in order to be a great porn star. He was graceful, sensual, expressive, versatile, and even had a sense of humor and playfulness. The only other gay porn I can recall from France, is the twink stuff from Jean-Daniel Cadinot; not exactly my cup of tea.
I became obsessed with Karl Forest after attending the premiere of “Le Beau Mec” at the legendary Adonis Theater in Manhattan during the l980s. On the big screen, Karl was wonderfully bigger than life. The print was superb so that the color brought out the beautiful suppleness of Karl’s fabulous flesh and torso. What also helped was the great musical scoring–classical music mixed in with Disco beats. Karl would not have fitted into the American gay porno scene at all. He was a star who should have been starred alone–and not part of the jumble of anonymous faces of homegrown porno. The movie showcases him as a unique sensualist. I can’t imagine how he could have surpassed “Le Beau Mec”. By the way, the movie was so hot that all the sexual activity around me nearly broke my concentration. I’ve got the VHS tape that I watch regularly. Karl Forest was a sexual phenomenon–and oh, that incredible ass of his had everyone drooling for more.
