brothers Dutch and Rudy Valentino (AKA Dutch and Rudy Garcia, per Poole’s Dirty Poole), 1977, from Wakefield Pool’s Take One. The film has never been available on video, but I’m still hopeful that Jim Tushinski, who’s still working on the Poole documentary, Dirty Poole will be releasing it sometime on DVD, like he did with Moving and One, Two, Three.

The story behind this movie is interesting. Apparently the original producer is still alive and owns it and the film is caught in some kind of legal limbo…at least it was when I spoke to Jim about it a couple years ago. But I believe some progress had been made and it might be restored along with the remaining Poole films to coincide with the release of DIRTY POOLE. I know he did new transfers of BIJOU and BOYS IN THE SAND, which were made available to fundraising donors for the documentary; to my eyes, they do look better than the Mercury Releasing versions.
