Then maybe…I wouldn’t mind the rain
i love this song, done by Beth Orton. I find myself sorta humming it as i ride my bike to work. never realized it’s a cover, and that, geez, the Ronettes did it nearly 40 years ago! don’t think i could even listen to that version; this is wonderfully sad…… but fortunately, no longer applicable to my life. i’m more in the “glad i saw the sunshine” mode, cuz it helps me on the rainy days.

Very sweet, but thank god I’m not thre either!
Have you hear Dog Days are Over by Florence and the Machine? My new fav. “Happiness hit her like a train on a track coming toward her…”

never heard of her (them?) – but can’t “listen” to music via youtube – prefer no video with new music; so downloaded the song and sounds interesting, worth re-listening to and checking out other tunes. THANKS! will listen to later tonight when i am actually awake
I have loved this song for years and, as well, did not know till recently that is was a Ronettes cover. I suffered a loss recently and it has been very comforting…
I’ve only heard the Ronettes version and it’s one of my absolute favorites of theirs. I did hear a cover of it in the superbly strange documentary CRAZY LOVE a few years ago.
Or I should perhaps say I HAD only heard the Ronettes version til that cover in the film. I do prefer the Ronettes.
